Should you add a face serum to your daily skin routine, or are serums a waste of money? (Yes and NO) Read to find out.
As the founder and formulator of Worthy Skin Care, I get a lot of questions about…
skin.
I know. You thought I would get a lot of questions about specific product; I get those questions, too. But mostly… I get questions about
skin.
People especially want to know about how they can improve their complexion.
Me, too. That’s why I started down this journey. I wanted to improve my face after an allergic reaction left me with leathery, dry and brittle skin.
It wasn’t a fun time.
Most of the skin-woes readers suffer from can be improved with one product. I know about this product, because I formulated it, and it is the very product that improved my skin and continues to improve my skin and the faces of Worthy Skin Care customers around the country.
What is the one product that does so much?
Worthy Face Serum. (Find Worthy Face Serum HERE.)
Let’s answer a question today:
Do Face Serums Really Work?
Well, that depends on what you purchase.
If you buy a cheap serum with water, you're not going to see many results. (Sorry.)
If you pick up a cheap serum with rancid oils, you're not going to see many results. (Sorry.)
If you find a serum that is bottled in another country where they don't have to honestly list ingredients on the label, don't expect results. (Sorry.)
If you buy a decent serum and demand instant results as if the serum were outfitted with a skin-obsessed genie, you're also in the wrong place. (Sorry.)
If you only care about hiding flaws rather than reversing them, you don't need serum; get yourself some good makeup that will hide your imperfections. (I did that for years after my allergic reaction.)
If you demand active ingredients in your face serum, then do your research. Or you can check out Worthy Face Serum.
I did all the research, formulating and bottling for you. (You're welcome.)
I no longer wear makeup and many of our Worthy customers no longer wear makeup. If you want a steady improvement for your skin, you might find the same results that other readers have found with Worthy Face Serum.
We call Worthy Face Serum the Skin-fixer.
You might be using a different face serum: That’s okay. Use what works for you. No matter what serum you are using, the list of serum benefits should be similar.
Do face serums work? Join me for a dive into the science behind our Worthy Face Serum as a prime example:
What Does a Face Serum Do?
Face serums are potent formulations designed to target specific skin concerns with high concentrations of active ingredients.
💧 1. Provides Deep Hydration Argan oil penetrates deeply to hydrate and soften the skin, improving elasticity and protecting against environmental damage.
🧖 2. Balances Oil Production Jojoba oil mimics the skin's natural sebum, balancing oil production and providing deep hydration. It contains vitamins E and B-complex, promoting skin repair and control.
🕰️ 3. Reduces Signs of Aging Rosehip seed oil, packed with vitamins A and C, helps regenerate skin cells, reduce scars and fine lines, and improve skin texture and tone.
🌟 4. Enhances Skin Radiance Vitamin E oil is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage, improves moisture retention, and supports skin healing and regeneration, leading to a brighter complexion.
🔬5. Fights Acne and Blemishes Grapeseed oil, high in linoleic acid and antioxidants, reduces inflammation, fights free radicals, and improves skin's overall appearance and tone while tightening and moisturizing.
💪 6. Boosts Skin Firmness Pomegranate oil, rich in antioxidants and punicic acid, supports collagen production and promotes skin regeneration and healing, giving a more lifted and firm appearance.
🔍 7. Minimizes Pores The combination of ingredients in the serum, including argan and jojoba oils, helps to tighten and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, leading to a smoother skin texture.

I find the science behind face serums to be compelling and was encouraged to find that this science is backed by numerous studies and dermatological research. These research studies started me on my journey to improve my skin's health.
Face serum formulations, rich in active ingredients like argan oil, jojoba oil, pomegranate oil and vitamin E, offer targeted benefits such as hydration, anti-aging, and skin brightening.
It is okay to expect a LOT from your face serum. I know I do.
By incorporating a high-quality face serum into your skincare routine, you can address specific skin concerns more effectively and achieve a healthier complexion.
Remember, consistency is key, and pairing serums with a balanced skincare regimen as well as healthy lifestyle choices will yield the best results.
Sending you great wishes for total skin health,
XXOO, Love Holly
